Karen has been training dogs for 15 years and is the founder of Start It Up Right Dog Training. She is a Certified Dog Trainer (CDT) and member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. She initially completed a certified dog training program at Animal Behavior College. When she relocated to the Washington, DC area, she conducted training classes at Washington Humane Society (now Humane Rescue Alliance). She joined DogiZone in 2016 as a trainer and continued there for 4 ½ years conducting group classes, board & trains, and private lessons, working with some of the top trainers in the country, including George Cockrell, Andrew Fraser (owner) and Jessica Hudgins. She has a high energy Australian Shepard named Trace.
