About Chris
Since his childhood, Chris Mazuros has been around dogs, both as pets and working dogs. His first exposure to dog training was by helping his stepfather, who trained bird dogs in Connecticut.

Following his 8-year career in the US Army Field Artillery, Chris worked in corporate event production as an audiovisual technician. He volunteered at the SPCA of Tampa Bay, where he completed their Family Dog Training program and served as one of the animal ambulance drivers.

In 2008, he began working at Rompin' Rovers Dog daycare as the Kennel Attendant. Chris became the Operations Manager and joined the ownership team as the business expanded. Over the next ten years, Rompin' Rovers grew and became one of the most respected dog daycare, boarding, and training facilities in Pinellas County. Rompin' Rovers was recognized as one of Prospera's "West Coast of Florida Success Stories" in 2018 for excellence in small business. (Armando Acosta, Head Trainer and Principal Partner, was further honored as one of the Hispanic owners of the year.)

As Managing Partner of Rompin' Rovers, Chris continued to hone his dog training skills. He helped create "Roxie's Rovers," a partnership with small dog rescue groups to assist them in rehabilitating dogs for foster and adoption. Additionally, he served as Lead Trainer of the "Board and Train" program until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of Rompin' Rovers in 2021.

Chris is a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and believes in using balanced training modalities to achieve successful lifelong training results. He is committed to assisting families in succeeding in working with their dogs and tailors training for each situation. Chris has been married to his wife Michelle since 1998 and has several four-legged children.
